Through the generous support of individuals and local corporations, Rebuilding Together makes a difference each year in the lives of the elderly, the disabled, and low-income families. All of the supplies for completing the projects in the houses are purchased strictly from donations, grants, and monies raised in our annual fundraising event.

Wine Tasting and Silent Auction

This year's Wine Tasting and Silent Auction is Sunday, August 7, 2011, from 3 to 6pm at Café Roka (35 Main Street, Bisbee, AZ). Click here for our event flyer PDF.

TICKETS: $20 in advance at the Bisbee Farmers Market, Atalanta's Bookstore and from Board Members. $25 at the door.

The theme is LOCAL FARE. All of the wines, beers (new!), delectables— even the live music—are from the area.

A carefully chosen variety of local red, white, and sparkling wines—as well as local brews—are accompanied by a large array of delicious appetizers prepared by Rod Kass, owner and chef of Café Roka, and his supportive staff.

Rebuilding Together Board Members greet the attendees, pour samples, and announce the winners of the Silent Auction. Local musicians add to the festivities.

Thanks to the generosity of many
local merchants, Silent Auction items include paintings, photographs, and other artworks; many unique jewelry pieces; gift certificates for many of the local bed and breakfasts, hotels, eateries and services; antique and gift items; centerpieces, floral arrangements, and much more.

As you are enjoying your wine and hors d’oeuvres, stroll three floors of this historic building, view the Silent Auction items, and write their bids. Competition for favored objects often adds a lot of excitement to the process.  Every dollar truly makes a big difference!

We hope you’ll be able to join us!

Project Day

Rebuilding Together Bisbee/Naco selects one day each year—this year
it's Saturday, September 24, 2011
to help preserve and revitalize several houses in the community. Many local qualifying residents have no place to turn to when the roof begins to leak or the plumbing doesn’t work. Our goal is to ensure that we help as many of
these families as we can.

Individual families are referred to us through churches, community organizations, service groups, or self-referral. Applications are available on our How to Help page.

Prior to our Project Day, House Captains meet with the owners, assess the repairs that need to be done, and purchase the supplies. On the morning of Project Day, volunteers gather for breakfast at the Community Church in Warren and receive their assignments.

Many of the volunteers have been helping for the past several years. They come ready to scrape, paint, clean up yards, or help wherever they’re needed. Many of the volunteers are carpenters, plumbers, electricians, roofers and others with special skills that donate their time. Anyone can volunteer! Working together, our volunteers not only help the homeowners but also make a big impact on the entire community.
